Top80 Jury

The jury committee is comprised of independent culinary experts, chefs, traveled gourmets, foodies, educators and editors. The Jury is handpicked to accurately represent the food environment. The evaluation is based on a range of criteria that are constantly adapted to current standards. The members of the jury and our staff are strict adherents to our conflict of interest policies, which stipulates that they alongside their family members are not eligible to compete to vote for any venue that they may have financial interest in.

Jury nomination: The jury makes a final vote based on the list of nominations gathered by members of the public. There is no limit to the amount of restaurants the each juror votes for. We encourage them to vote for the restaurants that they have visited in the last 12 months. The jury may not vote for any restaurant that they have financial interest in. Rating is based on the following criteria: Food Menu composition, food presentation, taste, balance of flavors and textures, value for money, beverage list, hygiene, service, and ambience. TOP80 does not publishes the jurors list to ensure their privacy.

What qualifies the Top80 jury?

Every member of the jury has to be a highly qualified professional. We select the juror that we can trust to make an objective, neutral judgement. Being part of the TOP80 jury, is a professional appreciation. Because the TOP80 is international, the jurors have to be well traveled and have experience in international cousin.

Fairness in combination with respect for the hard work of hospitality operators is a major aspect. Also, the ability for a responsibly voting on each entry is a key characteristic as well.
