Mei Ji Sheng Rolling Congee was founded by Mei Sister in 1979. It was initially set up in front of MacPherson Stadium and gradually built a reputation among the neighborhood through word of mouth. By the early 1990s, it moved to the Fa Yuen Street Market in Mong Kok, and Mei Kee has a history of more than 40 years.
