The Back Room

The Back Room at the Shangri-La hotel in Manila is a speakeasy-style bar that focuses on craft gins and local flavors. Its dark wood and green leather-walled interior, furnished with plush leather seats and black marble flooring, transports guests back to the Prohibition era of hidden drinking dens. The bar's original gin, The Bee's Knees, is created by Resident Smuggler, Executive, and bar team member Jouanneaud, who also created the bar's mixology skills. The dry and floral gin features juniper and ingredients native to the Philippines.
