DarkSide

DarkSide is a cocktail parlour in Hong Kong that offers rare aged spirits, vintage cigars, and classic cocktails, complemented by sultry live jazz. The establishment has been named "Best Hotel Bar" and "Best Bar of the Year" by Timeout Hong Kong and has been ranked as one of Asia's 50 Best Bars for three consecutive years. The dark spirits selection includes an exclusive blend of cognac created by the award-winning bar team. The cocktail list pays homage to Kowloon's "Dark Side" moniker and focuses on time-honoured traditions updated with innovative techniques. DarkSide has introduced a new cocktail menu inspired by Mahjong, the iconic tile-based game integral to Hong Kong society. The menu features enchanting base flavors, including Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The menu was commissioned by Mahjong tile-makers Masters Ricky Cheung and Karen Aruba Art, while local glass-blowing workshop Soekjing Studio designed and handcrafted the cocktail glassware. Ceramics were created by Tung Yao Ceramics, a local brand renowned for developing and celebrating Chinese pottery.
