Coley

Coley

Coley is a cocktail bar in Bangsar, Malaysia, named after Ada Coleman, a cocktail master and savant of The Savoy. Owner-proprietor Kho Chee Keong has aspirations for the bar, which is led by CK, a young veteran in the bar and beverage industry. The bar's menu observes tradition through modern lenses, with the classic Hanky-Panky taking top billing. Other concoctions are built to established measures, with some calculated twists and turns. The iconic Whiskey Sour is updated in the Saffron Sour, using saffron-infused bourbon. The 'Koktel' menu, inspired by the timeless kopitiam, uses traditional ingredients like kedondong, kalamansi, asamboi, and fresh nutmeg. Paired with a base spirit and refreshing mixers like home-brewed barley water or fresh coconut water, these cheap and cheery quenchers are perfect respite from the unforgiving climate. Coley is located at the back of Dr.Inc coffee shop, but its intimate settlement within the coffee shop/art studio/creative agency run by Lisette Scheers is a fitting addition to the buzzing hive of imagination. CK and his skilled team of drink-slingers continue to impress with various infusions, spirits, garnishes, techniques, equipment, and philosophies in the name of quality drinks.
