THE ROASTERY BY NOZY COFFEE

Every encounter presents an opportunity for growth, and my journey with Mr. Nojiro of NOZY COFFEE is a prime example. Although our initial ideas didn’t work out, our collaboration led to a significant new project that transformed my perspective on coffee. I had always disliked coffee, particularly its sourness and bitterness, but through cupping sessions and a tour of the U.S. with Mr. Nojiro, I learned to distinguish between different coffees and understand what makes a great cup. This personal growth has been incredibly rewarding. Our partnership culminated in the design of THE ROASTERY, a space that embodies the synergy between our ideas. Initially hesitant about a large island in the center of the shop, I was convinced by Mr. Nojiro’s vision. Now, it serves as the focal point where Baristas engage with customers, offering not just coffee, but an opportunity for learning and conversation. The open layout fosters a warm, interactive atmosphere that enhances the coffee experience. The minimalist design emphasizes functionality, stripping away anything unnecessary to focus on meaningful interactions. THE ROASTERY is not just a coffee shop; it’s a place where important moments happen, where new ideas and connections take shape. It represents a shift in the coffee shop industry, and personally, it has turned me from a coffee skeptic into a passionate enthusiast. This project has also deepened my appreciation for providing opportunities to talented, driven individuals, like Mr. Nojiro and his team, who made this venture possible. I believe THE ROASTERY will continue to bring positive change to everyone who enters, creating opportunities for growth and connection.
