In 2013, Mr. Chen Zhihuang, the founder of Coffee Coffee, made history by winning the double championship at the Nordic Cup Coffee Roasting Competition—marking the first time outside the Nordic countries that this prestigious award was claimed. That same year, Fika Fika Cafe was born, setting the stage for a legacy of exceptional coffee. Fika Fika Cafe is renowned for its signature coffee bean, the #Cabribri, which has captivated customers for 23 years and remains a bestseller. This medium roast coffee is rich, oily, and perfectly balanced, offering a harmonious blend of flavors—creamy, with hints of stone fruit, caramel, and malt. Whether enjoyed with milk or brewed as a black coffee, the #Cabribri offers a full, round taste without overwhelming bitterness or sourness. Its aroma and flavor profile create an experience that is both complex and comforting. The #Cabribri was developed by James Brown, Fika Fika's head roaster, during a coffee pilgrimage to Seattle. Inspired by the latte art coffee he encountered at David Schomer's café, James returned to Taiwan determined to create a coffee that would complement milk while retaining a distinct, well-rounded flavor. Over the years, James meticulously adjusted the roast profiles and techniques, refining the #Cabribri to perfection. The result is a medium roast coffee that embodies balance and smoothness, with a creamy texture reminiscent of a cream cookie in coffee. The name Cabribri, derived from an Italian place name, evokes a connection to the coastal town of Cabo, reinforcing the coffee’s ideal pairing with milk. After dozens of revisions over two decades, the #Cabribri continues to be a beloved and iconic coffee flavor, a testament to Fika Fika’s commitment to quality, innovation, and the pursuit of coffee excellence.
