Chef Zor Tan introduces his unique Contemporary cuisine, rooted in the Circle of Life and influenced by the principles of Birth, Roots, Memories, Craft, Relationship, Vicissitudes, Time, Progress, and Legacy. His style marries French gastronomy with Chinese ingredients and flavors, creating contemporary magic. Zor Tan's love for food began with his parents' warm meals and the saying "Contentment comes from having a full belly." He worked at Restaurant Jaan and Restaurant Andre, and was appointed Co-Executive Chef of Restaurant Raw in Taiwan in 2014 under the mentorship of Andre Chiang. In 2017, he became Executive Chef of Restaurant Andre. After the closure of Restaurant Andre, Zor was offered the position of Executive Chef at Sichuan Moon, a modern fine-dining Sichuan restaurant in Wynn Palace, Macau. He consolidated his knowledge of Sichuan cooking and explored ways to bring his solid French technique to bear on the menu, creating innovative modern Sichuan flavors. The restaurant received wide acclaim, earning 2 Michelin stars in its first year and debuting on Asia's 50 Best Restaurant list in 2020. At Born, Zor aims to present his unique Contemporary cuisine on the world stage, challenging himself daily and fostering a better professional and leader within himself.
