Gia is a conceptual dining concept in Hanoi that celebrates Vietnamese cuisine, culture, and family with modern cooking techniques and playful flavors. The project was founded by Long Tran, a Swiss graduate with 14 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant field. Tran has worked in luxury hotels in the UAE, Qatar, Thailand, and Singapore. Since 2014, he has been working in independent fine dining restaurants or Michelin-starred restaurants to discover new experiences and nurture himself in higher-pressure settings. Sam Tran, the talented and brave chef of Gia, is also a co-founder and General Manager of Seroja Restaurant, which has a Michelin star and First Green Star of Singapore. She has nearly ten years of experience in Melbourne, Australia, starting her career at Bawa Cafe and then moving to Sunda Dining, a two-hatted restaurant in Melbourne. After several years at Sunda Dining, Sam decided to return home to embark on her own restaurant. In summary, Gia is a conceptual dining project that celebrates Vietnamese cuisine, culture, and family with modern cooking techniques and playful flavors. Chef André Chiang's philosophy of being surrounded by the best is a key factor in the success of Gia.
