Teakha is a Hong Kong-based tea café that sources prized teas in small batches from family farms in Taiwan, China, Japan, and India. The company believes that true tea is beautiful and can be enjoyed as an art, ritual, way of life, or simply a beverage. They source their teas from family farms and have a close relationship with the farmers they source from, who produce tea entirely by hand. The teaware they use is both beautiful and functional, made to last a lifetime. Tea is a flavor journey that unfolds infusion by infusion, layer by layer. To express this concept, they commissioned plant-dye artist Anna Cennamo to create a series of artwork using tea dyes, which captures the different qualities of each tea perfectly. Each piece of packaging is as unique as the tea it contains. Teakha was founded in 2012 by Nana Chan, who left the corporate world to start her own tea café, teakha. The café pioneered the modern tea experience in Hong Kong and is still a thriving community hub today. In 2017, Plantation by teakha was born with the mission to introduce the full spectrum of true tea to younger generations. Teakha is a small team of Hong Kongers who love tea and believe that true tea is a beautiful thing, just as it is, with nothing added. They invite you to discover the beauty of tea with them and share the stories of the people who make it.
